Ooooo Faltuuuu

Long time no talk jee, myself very sorry, I do not know about you, but am also going a little crazy because of the cricket fever that has over whelmed us, with Pakistan and this great democracy finally lobbing balls at each other instead of grenades we have truly gone cricket crazy, let us hope this yaari continues.

The other fever that has us going crazy is the elections, with each party claiming to be the right and “secular” party, statements being made and unmade, parties aligning themselves with parties that they did not even see eye to eye with just yesterday, “ India Shining” is the BJP war cry and “India Paining” is the Congress retort, we have all been put on hold because of these elections I wonder who they are for anyway.

Momotours just had the honor of taking care of Dragon Fly for the last 2 months (this is Mahendra Jeet Singh’s (80) band and they played in Bombay, Goa, Pune, and opened for Bryan Adams in Bangalore, in front of 40,000 people, now how many of us have done that yaar???? Dragonfly is a band that Jeet or Miki (80) as he is known now, has started and last year they played in France and Morocco and this year they were here in India. Jeet shot three videos and a documentary of the entire trip, his music is being released by SONY India even as you are reading this bukwaas, the album is known here as The Edge of the World. The videos were shot in Bombay and the Samode Palace just outside of Jaipur. The rest of his band consists of Robert Toomy on keyboard better known as Brother Kleve, and the maker of the most incredible drinks I have ever experienced, and a avid connoisseur of Kishore Kumar and Mohammed Rafi and Lata Mangeshkar, Peter Parcek lead guitarist of the band and also the most gentle guy I have ever met, Steve Scully the drummer and the best drummer I have met, and Mark the bachelor of the band, if there are any Woodstock ladies out there who are looking for a baby faced, bass guitarist well, let me know, his only draw back id that he is Canadian. Then ofcourse Mahendra Jeet Singh class of 80, who is also the driving force behind the Winterline Foundation, is the lead vocalist and the guitarist. Klondike the sound guy, Not to forget the ladies who somehow put up these mad folk are Diane, Allison, Geraldine and ofcourse Kiki, (Jeet’s mom).

Tsering and momo will keep up this news letter as often as possible, because we know that you have nothing better to do then to wait for this faaltu letter.

Soooo watch this space
